Burgundy Domaine

The Domaine, in the heart of Burgundy, sits in fifteen acres of pastoral vale, south of Beaune, surrounded by vineyards and steeped in history. The newly restored property dates from the time of Louis XIV, and its noble architecture reflects the importance of the local lords at the time.

The locals call it the Chateau, but it was actually a large farm with an important wine production facility. The present day dining room is the old pressoir, with an 18th century wine press still in place under 18 foot high beamed ceilings.. Thirty metres of vaulted cellar and seven acres of vineyard under plantation complete the image of a noble wine domain. The Domaine is also in an ideal position to explore Burgundy’s vineyards and cellars. The owner is a Burgundy wine merchant and there is wine for sale, and guidance for private visits.

Outside July and August, the Domaine is available for short stays.

It would also be a very special place for Christmas and New Year.

There is a good selection of restaurants nearby.
